Third generation

Many years ago I took a cutting from my mother-in-law's Weigela. It took well and grew in our bungalow garden in Devon. When we moved to Lincolnshire, I took a couple of cuttings from my plant (ex-cutting) and one is thriving in our daughter's garden. The other is still in a pot so far in our new Lincolnshire garden. Its buds are just beginning to open which brings me great joy.

Today our washload dried in the wind and sunshine. Everything is now dry and put away, and ironed where necessary. Mr PP did some gardening AND went to an archery session with his new bow and arrows. I did a bit more jigsaw each time I passed. It's great having it on the island in the kitchen. As I stand up to work on it, I don't spend too long, nor strain my neck.

Made a lovely apple crumble from last year's garden harvest. The apple tree is covered in blossom, which makes me optimistic for another good yield.
