Wound up in Wexford

New plants

When we were over in Sweden, my daughter asked if we could use this plant stand, as she now found it surplus to her needs.  So it came home with us.

A good excuse to buy some new houseplants.

W is very fond of clivia, and we've had several, but some went to Sweden on a previous trip, and some were left in Norfolk.  This one caught our eye in the garden centre because it was flowering.  It's in dire need of repotting - but they flower better when rootbound.

I don't think we've had a streptocarpus (Cape primrose) before, but I thought the colour of these flowers complemented the clivia, and of course they are both native to South Africa.

Another day of rain showers, so no further work on the garden.

I had a long chat with my brother and sister-in-law in the UK, initiated by a need to purchase a spare part for a hose reel that cannot be sourced here, nor be sent direct to us in Ireland (BLOODY BREXIT).  It was good to catch up on their news.
