Day at a Time

Myrtle Cottage, Errogie

Now known as 'Harry's Bothy' after its last permanent resident this is a Category C listed corrugated iron building on the shore of Loch Mohr by the South Loch Ness road. In the extra is the Tin Tabernacle. I thought the bothy the more interesting building. The former United Free Church is now a holiday home. No one was at home so I didn't see inside but I imagine it's been well restored.

We were very lucky to meet the current owner of Harry's Bothy which he is lovingly restoring. He showed us inside and we chatted for a while about the construction. He was such an interesting chap and rightly proud of his work.

An update on yesterday's missing tin tabernacle in Tomatin. It too is now a holiday home fairly near the village. We might swing by it on our way home.

I'm blipping from Foyers. I'd forgotten what a lovely part of the world this is. We're off to have a walk. Saw an osprey earlier and the only other time I was ever in Foyers I saw red squirrels so I'm hoping for more wildlife.  The weather is beautiful
