Day at a Time

Tin Tabernacles of 2024 #8 and #9

I'm counting yesterday's extra of the tin church at Errogie as #7 even though it wasn't the main blip.

Who would have thought that the tiny Black Isle settlement of Jemimaville would yield two tin tabernacles. The main is the derelict and overgrown former Resolis Free Church Hall. The extra, Scott's Garage,  is the former Newmills United Free Church. In use as a place of worship till 1929 it's been a garage since 1932. Two outstanding buildings, in my view.

Not such a warm, sunny day. Still dry though and no wind. There was lots of traffic on the canal this morning which was fun to watch. Off to the Black Isle then coffee in North Kessock. This afternoon we're planning to walk at the local nature reserve and out to South Kessock. Tonight we're eating at the pub.
