Ground Cover

This is Geranium macrorrhizum aka Geranium Bevan's variety aka Geranium Diana aka Balkan Cranesbill. It creates a big pool of magenta outside our kitchen window. As it's great ground cover, I plan to thin some chunks and replant them (when it's finished flowering) and see if I can help spread it more widely. Anything to keep down the grass and weeds! 

Spent quite a chunk of today with the local family, which is always a delight. Saw little Miss B after school. I'd gone upstairs to lift the young master from his cot as his sister was just coming home. As I changed his nappy to his complaint, I explained it wouldn't take long and that his sister was home - at which news he smiled and gave a little chuckle. "Do you like it when (little Miss B) comes home from school?" I asked. Same smiley face and chuckle around the word 'yeah'! 

Downstairs, I told his mum of the boy's response. "And (the young master) said ..." I paused and looked at him. "Yeah Yeah," he filled in. Happy little chap that he is! He doesn't miss a trick!
