Life through my eyes

A different experience!

One of the research projects I've been part of has reached the dissemination phase. Part of that was making two films, one for the public and one for GPs and practitioners. Myself and the Mum of one of the researchers were part of the filming. In the morning we were asked questions and had to think up an answer. After lunch we were filmed walking into the reception and booking in for our appointment and then later being seen by a paramedic in the clinic room, and then the GP confirming that no further action was needed. Apart from drama at school I haven't acted. The other lady had in the past. The camera man was really good, very dry sense of humour. He had worked at the BBC for many years, and on the Planet Earth David Attenborough series, and was incredibly modest about it! Check out www.bluefirefilms.com for more info.

Once home I went with Jo to collect Beau from DDC, and then into Dobbies for coffee but they closed up early (so they could clean the machines 30 minutes ahead of closing). I got some bargains, a campanula for £2.05 from £4.99, a dendobrium for £9.99 from £24.99 and a triple plant stand for £15 from £30 as it was dented. They know us well in there and offered a £10 reduction but I persuaded him to go the extra £5. I love a bargain!
