Swans

Chatted to Winsford over toast and marmalade then she headed off across town towards the Botanic Gardens via hazelh’s place. It was bright and quite sunny early on but the clouds rapidly rolled in and once again there was a chill wind, and even some rain later. It was frustrating to hear from people on my later zoom calls that Glasgow was basking in warm sunshine and the students were all out lounging on the front steps soaking it up!
I spent the morning being busy, finally getting my bike installed in the cyclehoop so that’s the last time I’ll have to wrangle it up the stairs, then getting various probate forms certified by a very helpful police officer and posted off. Feels like progress!
Two long meetings over lunchtime and early afternoon but both went well, then tea and chat with Winsford on her return and before too long it was time to meet LE at Soi38 for some tasty Thai food before our trip to see Scottish Ballet’s Swan Lake. It was a very stripped back performance in terms of set and costumes, and focussed on the emotion of the story. All the dancers but especially the principals showed incredible strength and exquisite attention to detail with their hands and arm placements. We all really enjoyed it, then quickly home to bed.
