Through the balustrade

Midway through a very busy day, we went to Strathpeffer Pavilion to a concert by the Mahler Players, the highlight of which was a performance of Beethoven's Pastoral Symphony. Before that, there was a swim at The Port, which involved a swim out to the buoy (and back, obviously) for the first time this year. The sea was pancake flat, so perfect for swimming, and there was a skiff and dophins in the bay (see extra).

After getting back from the concert, we went to Platform 1864 for dinner. I was a bit distracted by the fact that there is now a student occupation of Old College Quad (on the grass, not in the buildings - an encampment....). I missed an incident meeting as I refused to sacrifice my concert. I'll have to log on, probably, at 8.30am tomorrow.

It has been a warm, humid but grey day. I imagine the weeds are growing like mad. Luckily so are the (proper) plants.
