A day in the life

Constructive

My poor Geraniums, I hope they made it through the night of almost frost, they look ok but time will tell.
Sunny day today but with an irritating chilly wind from the north. All morning I had a student for another fun meeting, today he hadn't prepared anything to play but he had some questions about chord choices in a song that led to a very good lesson on how to reason about the concept of "keys" in music, what chords to choose from and how to find and play the chords all over the neck of the guitar.

In the late afternoon the wind stilled, I went to get some construction wood from the store and a couple of nets (for concrete work originally) that I will use as a support for some climbing plants like Clematis and Honeysuckle. I dug the holes for the poles and put them in place just to see what it will look like. The net is of course going to be a bit higher up, the holes will be filled with concrete and the poles will be straightened but otherwise, this is the general idea. That'll be tomorrows job.
