Bologna Biking 3

Even though Bologna is a big, bustling city it has a surprisingly great network of dedicated and well-signed bike trails throughout the city and surrounding areas. Today we rode the bike trail around the perimeter of the city just outside the remnants of the medieval walls. Much of it is an tree-lined bike highway with car traffic on either side. In some parts, the ‘highway’ disappears and the trail is integrated on the sidewalks, but the width of the marked path remains taking into account poles and such. Post-morning bike ride we walked about and once again enjoyed the violincello music of Pavlo Carta playing in Piazza Maggiore. Google or Spotify him..he is fantastic! It was especially sunny & warm so he was accompanied by an umbrella. (Extra)
