Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

W's hard work

We woke to fine weather.  A slow morning, poached egg breakfast, but then I went off - first to Halfords in Wexford to get a new headlight bulb (the warning light came on when driving home from the Garden Centre) and then to orchestra rehearsal.

Meanwhile, W, who had been a little disappointed with the top soil we'd had delivered (see extra) for the raised beds, dug lots of organic matter into them, planted up all the veggies we bought yesterday, and created climbing frames for the peas.

At the far left is the bed where yesterday I made my contribution to this section of the garden - I planted the three shrubs seen there, but there's no evidence of the 324* assorted bulbs I also planted.  Hopefully we'll see results from that in a few weeks.

By the time I came home, it was raining and windy, and the poor veggies looked a bit shocked!

* actually, that's an exaggeration, there were only 323, one was rotten and I threw it out!
